Due to the overwhelming amount of donation inquiries made each year (close to 300) Metro Bis has instituted a policy for handling these requests. Please follow these requirements to ensure consideration for your charitable organization. Also note that Metro Bis will only donate product. No monetary donations will be made which includes advertising in charitable publications, supporting sports teams, etc.
- All requests for donations must be made in writing and must include the mandatory federal tax exempt number.
- Written requests may be dropped off at Metro Bis. They may be mailed to 928 Hopmeadow Street, #7B, Simsbury, CT 06070 or faxed to (860) 651-7354.
- The request for an auction donation must be made at least 1 month prior to the event.
- If a donation is made by Metro Bis following a request it will be mailed to the organization holding the fundraiser. Donations may NOT be picked up by volunteers.
- Calling Metro Bis repeatedly to request a donation will result in the denial of the request. This cannot be stressed enough. The disruption caused by repeated and aggressive phone calls is detrimental to Metro Bis’ staff and diner experience and will not be tolerated.
- Please keep in mind that Metro Bis responds to numerous requests each week. If your request is granted the donation will be mailed to the charitable organization.
